Recently someone asked Jilene about her views on Government but there was no email address given.  Here is Jilene's response:

 I believe that the government should be limited to securing our inalienable rights, given to us by God, to protect our lives, liberties, and property. That’s the limit. Everyone says that we should have limited government, but they don’t know where to draw the line. Sometimes they rely on their own best judgment. But the founding fathers, in the Declaration of Independence, declared that the limit was to do no more than to protect rights. That’s the line. They said that the government had power given to it from the consent of the governed. I don’t consent to have my government take my money and give it to my neighbor. That should be my choice. If I have extra money, and can give it to my neighbor.  that’s what should happen. The government has no authority to do that. 

The courts have been corrupted, and many times they forget that the legislature was given the authority to make laws, not the judicial branch. 

If we would exercise discipline and limit our lawmaking to police, fire, transportation, infrastructure etc for us to maintain our freedom to travel, gather, worship, and earn a living, etc., we would be able to tax less because we are spending less. 

We need to get back to having our churches and charities, friends, families, and neighbors, helping each other and not relying on the government. Letting the government take over our lives as called socialism and eventually communism. Those societies never flourish.
